The Gingerbread Man...Wonderful Childhood Memories!

For me, the gingerbread man always evokes wonderful childhood memories of Christmas time.  When I was a child, my mother would take me to the home of a long-time friend of her's to visit during the holiday season.  The woman would bake delicious gingerbread man cookies and hang them on her Christmas tree.  When each child visited her home, they were invited to choose a gingerbread man cookie from the tree to eat.  I still remember reaching up and taking off my cookie as if it were yesterday.  It felt so special and magical...the magic of Christmas time!
Here's a gift I recently brought to friend's home as a thank you for hosting my husband and I for dinner.  Given the time of year, it's no surprise I baked a gingerbread man cake!

Once the cake was baked, I wrapped it and added a gift tag.  I liked the way I could coordinate the gingerbread man on the gift tag to match the gingerbread man cake!
Here's a close-up of the gift tag.
To make the gift tag, I used these Stampin' Up! products:
Stamp Set: Scentsational Stamp Set (item #121026 clear mount, #121190 wood mount)
Paper: Cherry Cobbler (item #119685), Gumball Green (item #126840), Whisper White (item #100730) and Snow Festival Designer Series Paper (item #126908)
Ink: Early Espresso (item #126974)
