Leadership 2013 - So Much Fun and Lot's of Exciting News!

I'm back and excited to be posting again! As many of you know, I had shoulder surgery right after returning from the Leadership Conference, which prevented me from being able to post to my blog (typing with one finger while on pain medication is probably not a good idea.  You never know what you might type!)  It's been soooo frustrating not to be able to share with you all the excited that happened at the conference.  But, I've started physical therapy, I'm on the mend and ready to go...
Here I am with the packet of goodies Demonstrators get when they check in at the conference.  There were 1500 Demonstrators at Leadership, so you can imagine all the excitement when everyone opened their packets! Along with our name tag, class schedule and all the other things you would typically need, we got a free stamp set (and a coupon for another when we place our next demo order) and I also got pack of embellishments because it was the first time I attended a Leadership Conference!  I love all the free stuff!
Here's Val and I with the pack of free silver glitter paper and silver embellishments.  Stampin' Up! is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year so there's lots of extra excitement and news coming our way! So stay tuned and getting ready for lots of big things happening!

Helping Out At the Service Project

Leadership was held in Orlando, Florida this year, which was great from me because I didn't have to travel that far and the weather was beautiful.  Stampin' Up! enlisted the help of demonstrators to stuff 2,000 bags of papercrafting supplies to be donated to teachers in the Orange County area of Florida. Here I am holding one of the bags I filled with Stampin' Up! supplies.  Here's a video showing more about this  great service project we got to participate in...(BTW, I'm in the video.  Can you find me?)

Card Making Isn't Just for Women!

Stampin' Up! made two very exciting announcements at Leadership!
The first is that they came out with a stamp set just for men!  Yes, I said just for men!  It's called "Dude, You're Welcome!"  It's the perfect stamp set for men so they can make cards for their significant other.  Watch this funny video to learn more...
I already bought one for my son-in-law for Valentine's Day.  He and my daughter are married just one year and I thought he'd get a kick out of making her cards.  (Hopefully he doesn't read this post till after Valentine's Day.)

Paper Pumpkin

Here's the second big announcement made at Leadership..it's a big one...Stampin' Up! announced a new program called "Paper Pumpkin."
Here I am holding a Paper Pumpkin box.  Can you guess what's in the box?  What's a paper pumpkin, you ask? Well, here's some hints...

I come to your door each month (a fully decked-out creativity carriage). I'll help you to escape your life with some paper fun.

I come in a sweet box, but you'll really love what you find on the inside:

All the stamps, ink, paper, and accessories to create pinable projects. Create stuff like cards, journals, décor, and more!

Paper Pumpkin by Stampin' Up! is a new monthly kit program that anyone (even you) can enjoy!

That's right, Stampin' Up! has done all the designing, cutting and measuring for each Paper Pumpkin project.  No guess work for you.  Just open the box and have fun making the project.  Most projects can be completed in just 30 minutes!  The projects are perfect for beginners or can be "enhanced" by experienced stampers.  So, gather your friends and have a Paper Pumpkin party.  Still wondering what's in the box I'm holding?  Stay tuned for more info about Paper Pumpkin to find out what's in the box!
